Dress Code at SSCC

We do not require uniforms on duty, but we do expect our staff to present a clean, businesslike and professional appearance. The image of excellence and quality that the staff project to our guests is critical to the success of the Conference Center, and good personal hygiene is expected of all employees at all times. Male employees are expected to be neatly shaved or to have neatly trimmed mustaches and beards. Tattoos must be covered and long hair or dreadlocks will need to be pulled back during work. Dreadlocks must be covered in the Dining Room. On your free time, we require that your garb should neither offend, nor reveal too much. We realize this calls for personal judgement, so feel free to speak with a fellow staffer or manager if you need guidance in determining what is acceptable. And also feel free to approach a staffer or contact a manager if something that someone is wearing offends you.

Workplace clothing guidelines are as follows. You may be asked to go home and change if your clothing does not meet standards in the judgment of your supervisor.

A collared shirt and non-denim pants or something comparable is required for any shift involving contact with guests. Tank tops are unacceptable. This includes all Dining Room, Fountain, Airport Run and Coffee Break shifts. There are a few more specific requirements for these and other shifts.
